10 REASONS WHY OUR PRAYERS ARE PROBABLY NOT ANSWERED

Have you ever taken time to question why you pray and you don’t get a response, or is there something you are not doing right that is making your prayers look ineffective? Are you hiding something or you aren’t praying enough? These are some of the questions going through our minds. Some even go to the extent of saying God doesn’t answer prayers, or only the pastors can pray and God will answer. These are all fallacies the devil is using to get to us and it hinders us from hitting the nail on the head and making proper adjustments.
There are some basic reasons why prayers are not answered. They are:
Worrying: Worrying is a medium the devil compounds our problems and makes a little problem turn to a big problem. In the bible, Jesus says we shouldn’t worry; all we need to do is cast our burdens on Him because He cares for us. Worrying gets us distracted, so stop worrying and give it all to God. John 13vs7.
Release the grudge: Keeping grudges is not healthy and not Christian-like. Grudges are burdens we need to drop before God can answer our prayers. Forgive those who offend you and seek for forgiveness from those you offend. Mark 11vs25.
Finding out the root of the problem: The root of every problem must be known before one can find a solution. No one can fight what he/she doesn’t know. Finding out the root of the problem will help us to pray alright. Proverbs 28vs9.
Forget the pain: Don’t dwell on the pain but on the person that can solve the pain who is Jesus Christ. Dwelling on the pain will make you find thousands of reasons why you can’t make it. John 14vs12-14.
Praying and not believing: praying and believing work together; you have to pray and believe that God will do that which you have prayed for. The bible says faith without works is dead, your prayers should work along with your faith in order for your prayer to be effective. Mark 11vs24.
Keep quiet and let God speak: when we pray we should learn to observe the quiet time where we allow God to speak to us. 1John5vs14.
Praying for the wrong thing : God answers only the requests He knows will be of great benefit to us. The bible says your thoughts are not my thoughts, your ways are not my ways . What we want might not be the best for us. James 1vs5
Battling with words: We should not struggle with words when we pray. we should always invite the holy spirit to speak or teach us to pray, this is so that we don’t pray in the wrong way. Romans 8vs26.
Keeping negative thoughts: when we pray, we should leave every negative thought behind and be positive. Psalms66vs18
Always give thanks: We should learn to give thanks for all we have asked form God, this tends to move God.
Wait and not faint: After praying, we should be expectant , and believe we have received all that we have prayed for.
