According to him, eight people who sustained various degrees of injuries due to the commotion that occurred during the attack are currently recuperating in a nearby hospital. Elkana also said peace has been restored to the community as mobile policemen have been deployed to ensure that there is no more trouble from any of the affected parties.

Meanwhile, following the continuous massacre of Delta people by Fulani herdsmen, a human rights group has issued a 21-day-ultimatum to Delta state Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. The ultimatum was for him to address the issue with an amicable solution, insisting that failure to address the horrendous activities of the Fulani herdsmen, there will be uproar across the state at the expiration of the days of grace. Delta state has become a hotbed for Fulani herdsmen massacre as they go about killing farmers with impunity.
