Freed 82 Chibok Girls to meet their Parents this week

The 82 Chibok school girls who were released on May 6th after they were swapped with some Boko Haram commanders, will meet with their parents this Friday May 19th.
The Chairman, Chibok Community in Abuja, Hosea Tsambido, revealed that the Federal Government has invited parents of the recently freed Chibok girls to meet with their daughters.

The Leaders of the Chibok community met with the Federal government last week and they were handed photographs of the released Chibok girls for proper identification.

After their parents identified the girls, they were then asked to come to Abuja on Friday to meet with them.
The girls have been in Abuja since May 7th. They are currently undergoing a reorientation programme.
On sponsorship of the trip, Tsambido said, “I don’t know. What the parents told me was that they were asked to come on Friday.
“I didn’t ask if the government would sponsor the trip but usually, the government sponsors such trips.”
